DEVELOPMENT COACH
Andrew graduated from Brown University with a BA in Environmental Studies: Sustainability in Development. As a student, his research combined science, history, and politics to explore the growth of the climate denial movement in the U.S. and its coordinated efforts to delay legislative action at local, state, and federal levels. At Saint Ann’s School, Andrew taught science, biology, and environmental science, which also included study in environmental history and environmental politics. With a flexible, dynamic, and engaging approach to education, Andrew helps students with all areas of academic success, including organization, studying, time management, understanding complex topics, asking critical questions, and crafting compelling research-based arguments. Andrew empowers his students by helping them hone the skills they need to connect the material to their passions and discover new curiosities for further exploration. Having worked as a teacher, Andrew also understands how to help his students appreciate opportunities and manage stress. Andrew is involved in New York City climate and environmental justice activism. He loves playing tenor saxophone and electric bass – maybe you’ll catch him on stage!
