Abigail received her BA in history and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University. Her thesis, “History in Black and White” examined the representation of African Americans in United States history textbooks and the disconnect between historiography and classroom history. She taught at the St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn, New York for two years prior to earning her MAT in History from Brown University.

Abigail has five years of experience teaching US History and Modern World History at the Advanced Placement, honors, and non-honors level at Newton North High School, a top-ranked public high school in Newton, MA. Since the birth of her twins in 2004, she has been tutoring exclusively. She works with students at all levels, from those with significant learning differences or executive function challenges, to those who excel academically but are seeking more guidance with their writing.
